- Semiverse is a virtual platform that helps students learn how semiconductor chips are designed and manufactured using 3D models and simulations.
- Students can study chip structures, understand manufacturing steps, and practice fabrication in a virtual environment.
- There is a high demand (over 1 million) for semiconductor design professionals, and India has the potential to meet this demand.
- Under the Chips to Startup (C2S) Programme, the Government provides advanced chip design tools to 300+ universities.
- Using these tools, more than 100 student-designed chips have been manufactured at Semiconductor Laboratory Mohali.
