- American actor and producer Michael Douglas was presented the Satyajit Ray Lifetime Achievement Award 2023 at the closing ceremony of the 54th International Film Festival of India(IFFI) held in Goa.

- Supreme Court appoint an all-women committee of three former High Court judges of Justices Gita Mittal (Head), Shalini Phansalkar Joshi and Asha Menon to monitor relief work, rehabilitation, compensation and healing of violence-hit Manipur.
