UNEP’s Champions of the Earth Award 2025
- Supriya Sahu, Additional Chief Secretary for Environment, Climate Change & Forests (Tamil Nadu), has won the UNEP’s Champions of the Earth Award 2025.
- The Champions of the Earth award is the United Nations’ highest environmental distinction.
- It is given annually by the UN Environment Programme (UNEP).
- Sahu was selected in the “Inspiration and Action” category, which recognizes leaders delivering measurable benefits for people and the planet.
