UNEP’s Champions of the Earth Award 2025 Supriya Sahu, Additional Chief Secretary for Environment, Climate Change & Forests (Tamil Nadu), has won the UNEP’s Champions of the Earth Award 2025. The Champions of the Earth award is the United Nations' highest environmental distinction. It is given annually by the UN Environment Programme (UNEP). Sahu was selected in the "Inspiration and Action" category, which recognizes leaders delivering measurable benefits for people and the planet.
