Wolf Prize 2025 

  • Rajasthan-born theoretical physicist Jainendra K. Jain has been awarded the 2025 Wolf Prize in Physics.
    • The award was presented by Israeli President Isaac Herzog at a ceremony in the Knesset, Jerusalem on 18 June 2026.
  • He was honoured for the discovery of composite fermions, related to the fractional quantum Hall effect.

  • It was established in 1978 and is among the most prestigious global physics awards.
  • The prize can be shared by multiple winners in a single year.
