Exercise EKUVERIN
- The 14th edition of Exercise EKUVERIN between the Indian Army and Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) began on 2 December 2025 in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, and will continue until 15 December 2025.
- EKUVERIN means “Friends” in Dhivehi, reflecting the strong friendship and military ties between India and the Maldives.
- The exercise is part of India’s Neighbourhood First Policy and demonstrates commitment to regional stability.
World’s top 100 defence equipment producers
- This report has been published by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI).
- Three Indian public sector companies have secured positions in the list.
- They are:
- Hindustan Aeronautics (HAL)
- Bharat Electronics (BEL)
- Mazagon Dock (MDL)
