Exercise EKUVERIN The 14th edition of Exercise EKUVERIN between the Indian Army and Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) began on 2 December 2025 in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, and will continue until 15 December 2025. EKUVERIN means “Friends” in Dhivehi, reflecting the strong friendship and military ties between India and the Maldives. The exercise is part of India’s Neighbourhood First Policy and demonstrates commitment to regional stability.
