- Context: The Indian Navy deployed its advanced missile-tracking and ocean surveillance ship INS Dhruv in the Arabian Sea just ahead of Pakistan’s scheduled live missile testing period.
About INS Dhruv
- It is India’s first specialised vessel designed for tracking nuclear missiles and conducting ocean surveillance.
- It was constructed by Hindustan Shipyard Limited with support from Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and National Technical Research Organisation (NTRO).

Current Facts- Constituency Delimitation Amendments
- 42nd Constitutional Amendment Act, 1976: Froze the allocation of seats to the States in the Lok Sabha and the division of each State into territorial constituencies based on the 1971 Census until the year 2000.
- 84th Constitutional Amendment Act, 2001: Extended this freeze until the year 2026. Furthermore, it empowered the readjustment of constituencies based on the 1991 Census.
- 87th Constitutional Amendment Act, 2003: Permitted the delimitation of constituencies based on the 2001 Census, without altering the number of seats allocated to each State in the Lok Sabha.
