Navy Day 2025
- The Indian Navy celebrated Navy Day 2025 with a large-scale Operational Demonstration at Shangumugham Beach in Thiruvananthapuram on 3rd–4th December 2025.
- Navy Day is celebrated on 4th December to honour India’s decisive naval victory during Operation Trident in the 1971 India–Pakistan War.
International Cheetah Day
- Every year 4th December is marked as International Cheetah Day since 2010.
- American zoologist, Dr. Laurie Marker, founder of the Cheetah Conservation Fund in 1991, designated this day in honor of Khayam, a cheetah she raised.
- All cheetah subspecies are listed as vulnerable by the IUCN, except the Northwest African and Asiatic cheetah which are critically endangered at present.
