Navy Day 2025 The Indian Navy celebrated Navy Day 2025 with a large-scale Operational Demonstration at Shangumugham Beach in Thiruvananthapuram on 3rd–4th December 2025. Navy Day is celebrated on 4th December to honour India’s decisive naval victory during Operation Trident in the 1971 India–Pakistan War. International Cheetah Day Every year 4th December is marked as International Cheetah Day since 2010. American zoologist, Dr. Laurie Marker, founder of the Cheetah Conservation Fund in 1991, designated this day in honor of Khayam, a cheetah she raised. All cheetah subspecies are listed as vulnerable by the IUCN, except the Northwest African and Asiatic cheetah which are critically endangered at present.
