UAE announces $30 – bn fund
- The UAE announced a $30billion commitment to an investment fund called ALTÉRRA.
- ALTÉRRA is the privately managed fund which aims to mobilise $250 billion globally by 2030.
- It will be used towards climate investments and transforming emerging markets and developing economies.
- ALTÉRRA will have four key priorities namely:
- Energy Transition
- Industrial Decarbonisation
- Sustainable Living
- Climate Technologies
