India-Oman Free Trade Agreement
- The India-Oman Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) was signed in Muscat, the capital of Oman, in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Sultan of Oman, Haitham bin Tariq.
- As per the agreement, Oman grants complete tax exemption to 98% of goods exported from India.
- At the same time, India provides tax concessions to 77.79% of goods imported from Oman.
- This agreement is expected to come into effect in the first quarter of next year.
