About National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA)

- National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) is an online platform developed to digitize the legislative work of all State and Union Territory Legislative Assemblies.
- It is one of the 44 Mission Mode Projects (MMPs) under the Digital India Programme of the Government of India.
- Its main objective is to make all State Legislatures paperless and connect all Legislative Houses through a single digital platform under the vision of “One Nation, One Application.”

- NeVA is a device-independent and member-friendly application that helps legislators manage House business efficiently.
- It provides members with important information such as:
- Contact details of members, Rules of procedure, List of House business, Notices, Bulletins, Bills.
- It also helps the Speaker/Chairperson conduct House proceedings smoothly and enables members to perform their duties more effectively.
- The platform is hosted on MeghRaj 2.0, India’s cloud infrastructure, ensuring high security, scalability, and safe storage of data.
Features of NeVA
- Provides real-time access to important legislative documents such as agendas, bills, reports, and other House papers.
- Includes a secure digital repository to protect legislative records and maintain data confidentiality.
- Supports multiple languages, making it easy for members from different states and regions to use the platform.
- It is device-agnostic, allowing users to access it smoothly through smartphones, tablets, laptops, and desktop computers.
Mission Vatsalya
- Context: The Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD) regularly monitors and reviews the implementation of Mission Vatsalya.
About Mission Vatsalya
- Mission Vatsalya is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme that aims to ensure the care, protection, and overall development of children in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

- Its motto is “Leave No Child Behind.”

Components of Mission Vatsalya
- Improve the functioning of statutory bodies.
- Strengthen service delivery systems.
- Improve institutional care and child care services.
- Promote non-institutional and community-based care.
- Provide emergency outreach services.
- Conduct training and capacity-building programmes.
Implementation
- Implemented as a Centrally Sponsored Scheme since 2021–22.
