Fiscal Health Index (FHI) 2026
- Context: NITI Aayog has released the 2nd edition of the Fiscal Health Index (FHI) 2026 to evaluate the fiscal performance and fiscal sustainability of Indian states.
- It analyzes state fiscal trends over a 10-year period, spanning from 2014–15 to 2023–24.
- In addition to the 18 major states, 10 North-Eastern and Himalayan states have now been included and ranked separately.
