Fiscal Health Index (FHI) 2026 Context: NITI Aayog has released the 2nd edition of the Fiscal Health Index (FHI) 2026 to evaluate the fiscal performance and fiscal sustainability of Indian states. It analyzes state fiscal trends over a 10-year period, spanning from 2014–15 to 2023–24. In addition to the 18 major states, 10 North-Eastern and Himalayan states have now been included and ranked separately.
