- Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin has set a new record of scoring 1000 runs and crossing 400 wickets in Test Cricket.
- Ashwin became the second fastest, only behind New Zealand Richard Hadlee to reach 3000 runs and over 400 wickets in Test cricket.
- Ravichandran Ashwin is the only player to achieve this feat after former Indian captain Kapil Dev.
- Kapil Dev, Shaun Pollock, Shane Warne and Richard Hadlee were the only 5 players who had achieved the record of 400 wickets and 3000 runs in Test matches. Ashwin has become the 6th person to achieve this feat.
