Nalam Kaakkum Stalin Initiative Review Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu chaired a review meeting at the Secretariat on the progress of the Nalam Kaakkum Stalin initiative. The initiative, launched on August 2, aims to provide advanced medical services through special health camps. The government sanctioned ₹13.58 crore to organize 1,256 camps across the State, prioritizing areas with limited medical access. Priority groups at the camps include: People above 40 years Those with diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, mental health issues Pregnant women Children with developmental delays Persons with disabilities Tribal communities So far, 632 camps have been held, benefiting 9,86,732 people. 126 Knowledge Centres in Tamil Nadu Objective: To provide literacy and education to rural people belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, and to benefit students, farmers, and women's self-help groups. Government Order: Issued by the Tamil Nadu Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department. Functions: Announcing government welfare schemes. Providing education and useful information. Providing training to farmers, students, and self-help groups. Funding: Allocated from NABARD Bank's Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) for the year 2025-26. Implementing Agency: Being constructed based on the project design of TAHDCO (Tamil Nadu Adi Dravidar Housing and Development Corporation).
