RudraM-II  Context: The Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) and the Indian Air Force (IAF) successfully conducted flight tests of the RudraM-II Air-to-Surface Missile.  The missile was launched from an airborne platform under extreme release conditions.  RudraM-II was developed indigenously by Research Centre Imarat as the lead laboratory. Significance Demonstrates India's growing capability in indigenous precision-guided weapon systems.  Strengthens Aatmanirbhar Bharat in advanced defence technologies.  Enhances the Indian Armed Forces' capability to engage high-value ground targets with precision.   37th Foundation Day of BRO's 'Uday' Project Context: The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) celebrated the 37th Raising Day of Project UDAYAK on 1 June 2026 at Doomdooma.  The event marked over three decades of service in developing strategic infrastructure in Northeast India.  Area of Responsibility Project UDAYAK is responsible for maintaining and developing over 1,457 km of road network.  It operates in eastern Arunachal Pradesh and parts of Assam.  Strategic Importance Enhances connectivity in remote and sensitive border regions.  Supports infrastructure development along:  Line of Actual Control (LAC)  Indo–Myanmar Border  Plays a key role in strengthening national security and border accessibility.  Significance Improves military mobility and border connectivity.  Contributes to socio-economic development in remote northeastern regions.  Supports nation-building in challenging operational environments.   Current Facts   The base year for the Wholesale Price Index (WPI) has been revised from 2011–12 to 2022–23.
