Akash-NG Missile System The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has recently successfully completed the user evaluation trials of the next-generation Akash missile (Akash-NG) system. Akash-NG Missile Akash Next Generation (Akash-NG) is an advanced surface-to-air missile (SAM) defence system. It is developed by DRDO and manufactured by Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL). It is designed to protect critical and vulnerable areas from aerial threats.
