Children Welfare Awards As announced in the Legislative Assembly by the Social Welfare Department, the Child Welfare Service Awards are given to recognize and encourage institutions and units operating under the Directorate of Child Welfare and Special Services. Date of announcement of the awards scheme: November 27, 2025. The Minister had announced this during the grant request of the Social Welfare and Women's Rights Department for the financial year 2025-2026. Awards for this year Sections Districts Name of the homes Government Children's Homes Thanjavur Annai Sathya Ammaiyar Memorial Government Children's Home Children's Homes operating under voluntary organizations Thoothukudi St. Marianne’s Home Homes for children considered to have acted contrary to the law Chennai Government Foresight Home District Child Protection Unit Ramanathapuram District Child Protection Unit The Chief Minister has given awards and presented cheques of Rs. 1 lakh each as prize money.
