'Digital House Project': Speaker M Appavu announced that the 'Digital House' project has  been launched as part of the plan to convert Tamil Nadu Assembly  into a paperless assembly. under National eVidhan application (NEVA) the details of the ministers and MLAs who speak during the question hour were displayed in the four giant screens kept inside the assembly. Accordingly, the name of the member, photograph, subject matter to be discussed, details of the department, time of address etc. can be ascertained. Moreover, Speaker M Appavu announced that the live telecast can be watched on the touch screen computer through eVidhan Application.  About eVidhan Application: It is a Mission Mode Project (MMP) comes under the Digital India Programme. Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs (MoPA) is the ‘Nodal Ministry’ for its implementation in all the 31 States/UTs with Legislatures. The funding for e-Vidhan is provided by the MoPA and technical support by Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MietY). 50,000 new free power connections to be provided in the current financial year for agriculture.
