Coverage: This is the 20th edition of the index, covering 163 countries. Objective: It evaluates the level of peace in countries and examines its economic impact. Top Ranked Countries Iceland holds the top position for the 19th year in a row. It is followed by New Zealand, Switzerland, Slovenia, and Ireland. Lowest Ranked Countries Russia ranks last. Other countries at the bottom include Sudan, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ukraine, and Israel.
