India promotes a people-focused approach, termed “AI for all,” ensuring inclusive and widespread access. At VivaTech 2026, where India was the AI Country Partner, this vision was linked to growth, accessibility, and sustainability. India’s Four Suggestions for Safe AI Safe-by-design: Integrating safety features during development. Regulatory sandboxes: Testing innovations in supervised settings. Deepfakes: AI-generated fake media content. Global South: Refers to developing regions across Asia, Africa, Latin America, and Oceania. M.A.N.A.V. Vision Focuses on Moral and Ethical Systems, Accountable Governance, National Sovereignty, Accessible and Inclusive AI, and Valid and Legitimate Systems. India also initiated AI governance guidelines through its IT ministry, based on principles like trust, fairness, and people-first.
