About IndiaAI Mission (2024) The IndiaAI Mission (2024) was launched under the aegis of the MeitY with an outlay of ₹10,371.92 crore, aiming to position India as a global hub for "Making AI in India and Making AI Work for India." Implementing Agency: IndiaAI — an autonomous business division operating under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). Budget: A financial outlay of over ₹10,371.92 crore has been allocated over a period of five years. Primary Objective: To democratize access to AI computing resources, foster sovereign AI capabilities, and promote "AI for Social Good."
