SHINE App Context: Indian Railways launched SHINE (Sexual Harassment Incident Notification for Empowerment) app. The app allows women employees to report sexual harassment at the workplace. SHINE complements existing Internal Complaints Committees (ICCs) under the Vishakha Guidelines (1997). Complaints can be filed through the Human Resources Management System (HRMS). The app can also report incidents involving visitors, contractual staff, and students. It ensures confidentiality and effective grievance redressal Accessible through the Employee Self Service (ESS) portal. India’s first ‘Ring Metro’ Context: Prime Minister inaugurated two new corridors of the Delhi Metro, including India’s first fully operational “Ring Metro”, marking a significant development in the urban transport system of Delhi. The newly opened sections include the Majlis Park–Maujpur-Babarpur corridor of the Delhi Metro Pink Line and the Deepali Chowk–Majlis Park extension of the Delhi Metro Magenta Line. India’s First Ring Metro India’s first Ring Metro became operational in Delhi. The Majlis Park–Maujpur-Babarpur stretch of the Delhi Metro Pink Line was inaugurated. The new corridor is 12.3 km long with eight elevated stations, increasing the Pink Line length to 71.56 km. This makes Delhi the first city in India with a fully operational Ring Metro system.
