Awards & Honours Olivier Award: Chennai-born Singaporean actor Anjana Vasan has won the best supporting actress in a play at the 47th edition of Olivier Awards, for playing Stella Kowalski in the revival of American playwright Tennessee Williams 'A Streetcar Named Desire'. The Oliviers are the Oscars of London theatre and the 36-year-old is the first Singaporean to win the prestigious award. Ma.Aranganathan literary award: Writers K. Panchangam and SureshKumara Indrajith will be conferred with the Ma. Aranganathan Literary Award (2023) on behalf of 'Munril' literary organisation. The 'Ma.Aranganathan Literary Award' presented on behalf of the Literary Association in the memory of M. Aranganathan, one of the distinguished creators of Tamil cinema. The award carries a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh each.
