Jal Sanjay Jan Bhagidari (JSJB) Initiative Context: The Union Minister of Jal Shakti announced that, under the 'Jal Sanjay Jan Bhagidari' (JSJB) scheme, more than 1.5 crore artificial groundwater recharge and water conservation structures have been created across India. Details regarding JSJB 'Jal Sanjay Jan Bhagidari' (JSJB) is a nationwide, community-centric water conservation movement launched by the Ministry of Jal Shakti in 2024, under the 'Jal Shakti Abhiyan: Catch the Rain' (JSA: CTR) initiative. Its objective is to transform water conservation into a 'people's movement' by encouraging the participation of citizens, local bodies, industries, and government institutions. The scheme adopts a '3C' approach—namely Community, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and Cost-sharing—thereby fostering an inclusive framework for sustainable water management and enhanced water conservation. To foster healthy competition, financial incentives are awarded to top-performing districts: Category 1: ₹2 crore each Category 2: ₹1 crore each Category 3: ₹25 lakh each   Mission Senehjori Context: Launched by the Union Minister for Development of North Eastern Region, in collaboration with the Government of Assam, the Central Silk Board, the Ministry of Textiles, and other central agencies.
