Initiatives/Schemes ‘Nalam Kaakkum Stalin’ Camps Context: Over 13 lakh people have benefited from the Nalam Kaakkum Stalin medical camps. Camps are being conducted across all 38 districts of Tamil Nadu. Full-body health check-ups and specialist consultations helped identify health issues at an early stage. Patients needing further treatment were referred to higher medical facilities. Beneficiaries were enrolled on the spot in the Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme. The initiative was launched on August 2, 2025 by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin. History & Culture Annual Thirukkural Week celebration Background: The Government of Tamil Nadu has approved the annual celebration of Thirukkural Week starting from January 2026. Objective: To propagate the greatness and values of Thirukkural among the general public.
