Nasha Mukt Bharat Saptah 2026 Context: The Department of Social Justice and Empowerment (DoSJE) launched ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Saptah 2026’ from 17–26 June 2026.  Theme: “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan – Viksit Bharat Ki Pehchaan.”  The campaign is being observed in connection with the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (26 June).  Major Launches Nasha Mukt Bharat Saptah 2026 was formally launched.  A Personal Dashboard for Nasha Mukti Mitra (NMM) was introduced to strengthen volunteer engagement and monitor grassroots activities.  Objective To strengthen the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA) and promote drug demand reduction through mass awareness and community participation. About Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA)  Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA) was launched on 15 August 2020 by the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment (DoSJE).  Initially implemented in 272 identified vulnerable districts.  Expanded to all districts of the country from 15 August 2023.  Objective: To spread awareness and reduce substance abuse through mass participation.  About NMBA App 2.0 Launched under the National Action Plan for Drug Demand Reduction (NAPDDR).  Serves as a centralized digital platform for monitoring and implementation.  Facilitates real-time reporting, coordination and data-driven governance at National, State, District and institutional levels.  Existing Features of NMBA App Enables States, districts, spiritual organisations and stakeholders to upload and monitor activities.  Provides a consolidated dashboard with near real-time visibility.  Offers Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials.  Supports Nasha Mukti Mitras in awareness campaigns.  Facilitates onboarding and management of master volunteers.  Allows institutions to organize pledge-taking activities.  National Action Plan for Drug Demand Reduction (NAPDDR) A flagship initiative of the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment.  Focuses on:  Preventive education and awareness.  Treatment and rehabilitation.  Capacity building.  Community participation.  Monitoring and evaluation of drug demand reduction efforts.
