National Science Day India observes National Science Day 2026 to commemorate the discovery of the Raman Effect by Sir C. V. Raman in 1928. The occasion is celebrated annually on 28 February to recognize his groundbreaking contribution to science. The theme for National Science Day 2026 is “Women in Science: Catalysing Viksit Bharat.”
