These turtles lay their eggs on the Tamil Nadu coast from Chennai to Kanyakumari from December to April Olive Ridley The Olive Ridley sea turtle is listed as a 'vulnerable' species on the IUCN Red List, and is a protected species included in Schedule-I of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972 and in CITES Appendix-I.
