It is a monocotyledonous palm belonging to the family Arecaceae. The crop is believed to have originated in the Indo-Pacific region, particularly Southeast Asia. Grows well in: Sandy loam soils, Alluvial soils, Laterite soils, Coastal sandy soils. Pink National Common Mobility Card The ‘Pink National Common Mobility Card’ initiative has been launched with the aim of providing free bus travel to women in the national capital and seamless access to multiple public transport systems through a single smart card.
