Its core purpose is to promote the use of electric vehicles (EVs), expand charging infrastructure, and strengthen the domestic EV manufacturing ecosystem. The scheme focuses on accelerating the shift toward EVs by providing upfront financial incentives for buyers and encouraging the development of widespread charging facilities. Key Components of the Scheme Financial support is offered for the purchase of various electric vehicles, including electric two-wheelers (e-2W), three-wheelers (e-3W), e-ambulances, e-trucks, and other emerging EV segments. Funds are allocated for procuring electric buses, setting up a large-scale charging network, and modernizing testing infrastructure under the Ministry of Heavy Industries. Covers administrative expenses, Information, Education & Communication (IEC) activities, and fees for the Project Management Agency (PMA). About Mission Shakti Mission Shakti, launched in 2022 by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, is an umbrella initiative focused on women’s welfare.
