Quaid-e-Millat  Birth and Early Life Born on June 5, 1896, in Pettai, Tirunelveli district. His original name was Mohamed Ismail. Role in Freedom Movement Inspired by Mahatma Gandhi’s ideals. Actively participated in India’s independence struggle. Served as a leader in the Congress Party for 16 years (from 1920). Leadership in Muslim League Became the leader of the Madras Province Muslim League in 1945. Later served as the leader of the Indian Union Muslim League from 1948. Legislative Contributions Elected to the Madras Provincial Legislative Assembly in 1946. Served as Leader of the Opposition. Also contributed as a member of the Constituent Assembly. Parliamentary Career Elected to the Rajya Sabha in 1952. Served as a Member of Lok Sabha from 1962 to 1972. Legacy Remembered for his lifelong service to the nation and his community. Upheld strong values of integrity, duty, and dedication.   George Joseph  Early Life and Education Born on June 5, 1887, in Chengannur, Kerala. Studied in Kerala and joined Madras Christian College in 1903. Completed M.A. in Philosophy from the University of Edinburgh. Studied Law in London (Middle Temple) in 1908. Met many Indian freedom fighters during his stay in London. Returned to India in January 1909. Fight Against Criminal Tribes Act (CTA) Strongly opposed the Criminal Tribes Act. Worked through courts and newspapers to protect their rights. Helped reduce harsh rules like forced police reporting at night. Earned the title “Rosapoo Durai”. Labour Movement Helped start the Madurai Labour Union in 1918. Worked for better wages and working conditions for workers.  Association with Gandhi Met Mahatma Gandhi in 1919 and became his supporter. Hosted Gandhi in Madurai.
