Home Delivery of Cervical Cancer Testing Kits Home-based cervical cancer screening kits will be delivered by health workers as many women hesitate to visit hospitals for diagnosis. The National Health Commission will distribute kits to 25,000 women under 35 in Dharmapuri as a pilot project. Human Papillomavirus (HPV) is the primary cause of cervical cancer. If undetected, cervical cancer can spread from the cervix to lungs, liver, bladder, and rectum. As per Adyar Cancer Institute, cervical cancer is most prevalent in Dharmapuri and Perambalur in Tamil Nadu. Incidence rates: Ariyalur – 29.9 per lakh, Chennai – 13 per lakh, Tamil Nadu overall – 14 per lakh. International Hockey Stadium & Junior Men’s World Cup The International Hockey Stadium at MGR Stadium, Madurai will be inaugurated on 22.11.2025 by the Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
