School Infrastructure ▪ The Director of Elementary Education (DEE) states that the smart classrooms would be set up in 20,000 panchayat union primary schools and hi-tech laboratories in 6,992 panchayat union primary schools across Tamil Nadu. ▪ DDE further stated that for the academic year 2024-25, 1,920 additional classrooms, 251 laboratories, 692 toilets for boys, 646 toilets for girls and compound walls would be constructed in 794 panchayat union primary and middle schools across the State under the Professor Anbazhagan School Development Scheme.
