Initiatives/ Scheme Vada Chennai Valarchi Thittam Context: The Deputy Chief Minister inaugurated the Chennai Middle School building, bus stand and sports complex, built by CMDA at a cost of Rs. 53 crore under the North Chennai Development Project. This project is a special project implemented with a budget of ₹1,000 crore over 3 years (2023-26) for infrastructure and social development in the North Chennai region of Tamil Nadu. The project aims to modernize basic facilities such as health, education, drinking water, electricity, sports, housing and roads. Tamil Nadu Policy and Governance Experiential Learning Centre (TNPAGE) Context: The Tamil Nadu Policy and Governance Experiential Learning Centre (TNPAGE), built by the Tamil Nadu State Planning Commission under the Singara Chennai 2.0 fund, was inaugurated on the Nungambakkam Highway in Chennai. TNPAGE is the first governance experiential learning centre set up in India. It is designed as a public knowledge platform that provides easy-to-understand and virtual experiences of government policies, development indicators and governance decisions.
