V.P. Singh’s statue unveiled The statue of former Prime Minister V.P. Singh was unveiled on the Presidency College campus in Chennai by the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin. The statue was erected under the State Assembly Rule 110 to honour the former Prime Minister. He is the 8th Prime Minister who implemented Mandal panel report in 1990. He also created the Sixty-second Amendment and enacted the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Act in 1989.
