Space Vikram-1  Context: Skyroot Aerospace successfully launched Vikram-1 Test Flight-1, which reached orbit. With this achievement, India became the third country in the world to have a private company capable of launching a rocket into orbit. About Vikram-1 Developer: Vikram-1 has been developed by Skyroot Aerospace, an Indian private space company. Mission: The launch mission is named Mission Aagaman. Type: It is a four-stage orbital launch vehicle developed by a private company. Significance: It is India’s first privately built orbital-class rocket capable of placing satellites into orbit. Features of Vikram-1 Stages-The rocket has four stages: First three stages use solid fuel. Final (upper) stage uses hypergolic liquid fuel. Structure: It is made using an all-carbon composite structure, making it lightweight and strong. Engine: The rocket is fitted with a 3D-printed liquid engine. Payload Capacity- It can carry: Up to 350 kg to Low Earth Orbit (LEO). Up to 260 kg to Sun-Synchronous Orbit (SSO). Payloads Carried Cosmic Bloom: A diamond art payload developed by Cosmos Diamonds. Microart : An 18-karat gold miniature rocket carrying micro-sculptures of C. V. Raman, Vikram Sarabhai, A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Technology Demonstrators:  The mission carried technology demonstration payloads, including: Robotic Arms by Cosmoserve SOLARAS by Grahaa Space SCOPE by Skyroot Aerospace International Payload: The mission also carried uD3PP and mD3RN, developed by Dcubed GmbH, a company from Germany.
