WT-MARUT Portal Context: Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy launched WT-MARUT, India's first dedicated Wind Turbine Supply Chain Management Portal. The portal aims to strengthen the domestic wind manufacturing ecosystem and support India's clean energy transition. The portal was unveiled during the Global Wind Day Conference held in Goa. Development of WT-MARUT WT-MARUT has been developed under the aegis of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) with support from the Indian Wind Turbine Manufacturers Association (IWTMA). Objectives of the WT-MARUT Portal The portal is designed to: Improve visibility across the wind energy supply chain. Facilitate compliance with domestic sourcing requirements under the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) framework. Support supplier identification and qualification. Strengthen collaboration among stakeholders. Enhance export preparedness. Growth in India’s Wind Energy Sector India added a record 6.1 GW of wind power capacity during FY 2025-26. This represents a 46% increase over the previous year. It is the highest annual wind capacity addition recorded so far. Installed Wind Energy Capacity India currently has more than 56.1 GW of installed wind energy capacity. The country is the fourth-largest wind energy market in the world. Only a small portion of the estimated 1,164 GW wind energy potential has been utilized. Export Projections India is expected to account for: 10% of global wind turbine exports by 2030. 20% of global wind turbine exports by 2040. Yoga Park Portal Context: The Ministry of Ayush launched the Yoga Park Portal to convert existing parks into community wellness centres.
