- Context: The Singappen Special Force (SSF) was launched by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister in Chennai.

- The force has been launched with 280 personnel operating through 70 patrol units.
- An amount of ₹354 crore has been earmarked for the first phase of the project.

- Four-wheeler and two-wheeler patrol vehicles.
