V.P. Singh’s statue unveiled

- The statue of former Prime Minister V.P. Singh was unveiled on the Presidency College campus in Chennai by the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin.
- The statue was erected under the State Assembly Rule 110 to honour the former Prime Minister.
- He is the 8th Prime Minister who implemented Mandal panel report in 1990.
- He also created the Sixty-second Amendment and enacted the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Act in 1989.
