Reports and Indices Logistics Ease Across Different State (LEADS) 2023 Report Union Minister of Commerce & Industry, Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, and Textiles,  Piyush Goyal released the 5th edition of “Logistics Ease Across Different State (LEADS) 2023” report recently. LEADS was conceived on the lines of Logistics Performance Index of World Bank in 2018 The report is based on a pan-India primary survey, conducted between May and July 2023, covering over 7,300 responses across 36 States/UTs. Tamil Nadu along with Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka were named as Achievers under Coastal Group.International Energy Agency's (IEA) annual coal market report 2023 According to the report global coal demand is expected to decline by 2026. The decline is expected to be due to a shift towards renewable energy and decreasing  demand in China. India will remain the “driving force” for the fuel until that year. The global demand for coal rising by 1.4% in 2023, surpassing 8.5 billion tonnes for the first time.

Reports and Indices Renewable Energy (RE) Report 2022 Report was released by International Energy Association (IEA). Key findings of the report RE will comprise 90 percent of global electricity capacity expansion in next five years and much of it will be in India. RE’s installed power capacity addition will grow to 2,400 gigawatts (GW) between 2022 and 2027. With addition of 145 GW, India is forecast to almost double its renewable power capacity over 2022-2027. Solar photovoltaic accounts for three-quarters of this growth, followed by onshore wind (15 percent) and hydropower providing rest of it.
