Govt – Welfare oriented Govt schemes, their utility GIAN scheme The Education Ministry is planning to restart the Global Initiative of Academic Networks (GIAN) scheme by launching the fourth phase of the scheme. The scheme aims to rope in eminent scholars from across the world to teach at Indian universities. Since the beginning of the scheme in 2015-16, 1,612 foreign faculty members have visited India to deliver courses from 59 countries. Ilaya Chatbot launched Tamil Nadu launched an AI-powered chat bot named 'Ilaya' on the Naan Mudhalvan website. The chat bot aims to aid college students in their queries on skill development training and job opportunities.
