Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana: 4th National Conference held in Udaipur

The fourth National Conference of Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima yojana was held in Udaipur, Rajasthan. The Conference was organized by Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana The scheme was launched in 2016. It replaced the Modified National Agricultural Insurance Scheme and National Agricultural Insurance Scheme. Under the scheme the farmers are paid a premium of 2% for Kharif crops and 1.5% for Rabi crops in case of crop damages. The scheme is in line with One Nation-One Scheme theme.

India to host 13th COP of UN’s Conservation of Migratory Species; PM Modi to inaugurate

The 13thConference of Parties (COP) of the  Convention on Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals is to be held in India between February 17, 2020 and February 22, 2020. The Conference is called the CMS-COP-13 in short. The Conference is to be hosted by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change on behalf of India. Highlights India has been designated as the President of the Conference for the next three years. The representatives from 130 countries are to participate in the conference. The theme of the conference is as follows. Theme: Migratory species Connect the Planet and we welcome them. The mascot designated for the CMS COP-13 is Indian Bustard.

National Conference on E-Governance held in Mumbai; National E-Governance Awards presented

The 23rdNational Conference on E-Governance was held in Mumbai to transform governance using digital technologies. The conference adopted Mumbai Declaration. Highlights The Conference also assessed the national e-governance services being delivered by all the states and Union Territories. Delhi, Chandigarh and Damanand Diu emerged as the leaders in delivering e-governance services among Union Territories. Among the states, Haryana and Rajasthan emerged as leaders. The Conference also awarded the National E-Governance awards.
