TIDCO plans to develop six thematic industrial parks across the State

TIDCO plans to develop six thematic industrial parks across the State Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation Limited (TIDCO), a governmental agency in the state of Tamil Nadu is planning to develop six thematic industrial parks — two in Chennai, three in Coimbatore and one space park at Kulasekarapattinam in Thoothukudi to support the micro, small and medium enterprises in the State. Tamil Nadu has been ranked third in the country in the Ease of doing business for 2020-21. The state aims to improve the ranking to number 1 by supporting the micro, small and medium enterprises in the aerospace and defense sector. About UNESCO 1970 Convention The UNESCO 1970 Convention is an international treaty to take measures to prohibit and prevent the illicit trafficking of cultural property. The return and restitution of cultural property is central to the Convention. It entered into force in 1972 and is ratified by 143 states including India.

Stalin unveils T.N. aerospace policy The Tamil Nadu Aerospace and Defence Industrial Policy, 2022, was released by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin in a Conclave on Industry 4.0­ ‘Future is Now­ Towering Tamil Nadu’, held at TI­DEL Park Chennai. It is aimed at attracting over ₹75,000 crore investments and providing employment to over 1 lakh people over the next 10 years. Two centres of excellence were inaugurated in the event  Tamil Nadu Smart and Advanced Manufacturing Centre (TANSAM)  Tamil Nadu Advanced Manufacturing Centre of Excellence (TAMCOE) While TANSAM is a collaboration between the Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO) and Siemens, established at a cost of ₹251.54 crore, TAMCOE is TIDCO’s collaboration with GE Aviation, established at a cost of ₹141 crore. Two remote pilot training organisations were inaugurated in Madurai and Coimbatore that are the result of TID­ CO’s collaboration with the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi (IGRUA) and DE Drone. DLF to invest Rs 5,000 crore to develop 6.8 million sq ft IT park in Chennai

Singapore’s sovereign fund GIC, is planning to invest Rs 5,000 crore to develop a 6.8 million sq ft information technology park in Chennai, making the south India city its second largest market after Gurugram. The project, DLF Downtown Taramani spread over 27 acre is a joint venture with Tamilnadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO). The proposed development along with DLF’s existing 7 million sq ft IT park at Manapakkam will take the company’s commercial portfolio in Chennai to nearly 14 million sq ft.
