Theme 2023 - “shared vision for a better world: Incorporating SDG 3”. It was first celebrated in October 14, 1946. World Migratory Bird Day (WMBD) – October 14 World Migratory Bird Day (WMBD) highlights the importance of water for migratory birds and calls for more action to protect water resources and aquatic ecosystems. WMBD 2023 celebrates 12 bird species in particular of which 8 find safe havens in natural UNESCO World Heritage sites. Theme 2023 - “Water: Sustaining Bird Life."
