National Action Plan on Antimicrobial Resistance 2.0 (NAP-AMR 2.0) India has launched the National Action Plan on Antimicrobial Resistance 2.0 (2025–29) at the start of WHO’s World AMR Awareness Week. Launched by: Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare NAP-AMR 2.0 is India’s updated five-year strategic framework (2025–29) to combat rising antimicrobial resistance through a One Health approach covering human, animal, agriculture, and environmental sectors. It builds upon the gaps identified in the first National Action Plan (2017–2021) and aligns with the Global Action Plan on AMR by the WHO. It includes specific action plans of each key stakeholder ministry/department with timelines and budget to enable effective monitoring of progress in implementation.
