NGT seeks TNPCB’s response on city’s land subsidence risk Context: The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has issued a notice to the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNPCB), seeking a detailed report on the growing risk of land subsidence in Chennai. National Green Tribunal  Established on October 18, 2010, under the National Green Tribunal Act, 2010 Dedicated to handling case related to environmental protection, forest conservation. The Bill proposes the creation of a National Blood Transfusion Authority as a central regulatory body. It aims to establish uniform national standards for collection, testing, processing, storage, distribution, issuance and transfusion of blood and blood components.
