First World Yogasana Championship 2026  CONTEXT:Prime Minister inaugurated the First World Yogasana Championship 2026 in Ahmedabad.  The event marks a significant milestone in promoting Yogasana as a competitive sport at the global level and is being held shortly before International Yoga Day 2026. The championship is the first global sporting event exclusively dedicated to Yogasana. As India's first UNESCO World Heritage City, Ahmedabad represents the country's rich cultural traditions and heritage. The championship is being organized in the lead-up to International Yoga Day, observed annually on 21 June. The theme for International Yoga Day 2026 is “Yoga for Healthy Ageing”. National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA)  CONTEXT:The West Bengal Legislative Assembly signed a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the implementation of the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA), becoming the 33rd legislature in the country to join the Centre’s flagship initiative aimed at digitising legislative functioning. About National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA)  NeVA project officially approved by the Public Investment Board on January 15, 2020. NeVA is a digital project by the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs. It aims to make the work of all State and UT legislatures online and paperless. It is one of the 44 Mission Mode Projects (MMPs) under the Digital India Programme of the Government of India. It follows the idea of “One Nation – One Application.” Main Features: Runs on secure NIC MeghRaj Cloud. Provides e-Books for members. Allows e-Attendance and e-Voting. Stores all legislative work in digital form. Includes notices, questions, business lists, calendars, and press releases. Offers live webcasting of proceedings. Can be accessed on mobile phones by members and ministers. Implementation & Funding: Funded by the central government for all states and UTs. Nagaland was the first to implement NeVA. Himachal Pradesh was the first to go paperless (2014), saving ₹5.08 crores every year.   Viksit…
